No fim da década de 70, além dos embalos de sábado a noite, na Inglaterra corre uma explosão de bandas de Heavy Metal como Judas Priest, nossos queridos cabeludos acima e muitos outros. Com seu som pesado e velocidade resgataram a verdadeira alma do metal fazendo músicas sem se preocupar em vender seus discos, mas muito apreciadas pelos metaleiros e principalmente pelos cortadores de cana. O Maiden vem desde então enfrentando seus medos (o principal é o do escuro) e mesmo após 30 anos de carreira continua seguindo uma carreira brilhante com suas jaquetinhas de couro de serelepe hindu.
